Right now I'm working on collecting some stuff for my Blythe (no she doesn't have a name of her own yet--although I'm considering Petula). I really like more unique handmade items better than the outfits made by Takara for Blythe.
Etsy has been a great resource for me. For those not in the know, Etsy is a great new website. It's like a virtual crafts mall with a larger selection than anything except eBay. And beside the things listed in the "stores" they have this wonderful thing called "Alchemy." Etsy's version of alchemy is a way to custom order any handcrafted item you could imagine! (In the future I'll have to post some of the cool things I've gotten through Alchemy requests on Etsy.) In th mean time check out Etsy for your self http://www.etsy.com

| I am absolutely in love with Bento! I've always loved Japanese food. Really, my earliest memories of eating it were before age 4. The only earlier food memory I have was of eating bananas, which I started doing at before age one, and of eating fish at about age 2 or three.
My hubby and I have been enjoying sushi and sake together for awhile now and we enjoy trying all the Japanese resturants we can find. We've eaten Japanese food in Chicago, Knoxville, Tampa/St. Pete, And we've been to everyone we can find in the greater Cincy area.
But bento is just so wonderful! It combines delicious, healthy food with artistic, creative display. Looking around a bit on the internet I have found that there is quite a bento culture. I have decided to start my own blog: Obento, Pretty Bento (http://bentoart.livejournal.com).

| Here is my Blythe......
She was a gift from my sweet hubby. Instead of giving me flowers to make up after a spat he gave me Mademoiselle Rosebud. Pretty nice, huh?

Blythe has become quite the collectible doll, in large part due to the books of Gina Garan. Gina has a great page--http://www.thisisblythe.com . The site also houses a great Blythe forum--http://www.thisisblythe.com/forums/index.php
But Blythe collectors are not like other collectors and Blythe isn't like other dolls. Blythe collectors seem to be adults for the most part. And, unlike your average mint-in-box collectors, they open the boxes, change the clothes, do custom hair and make-up, and above all they photograph, photograph, photograph. In short they play with there dolls.
